Do you know that Don Henley does an occasional show in his hometown Linden?
I think he lives in Dallas or Highland park, keeps a house in Linden. I used to have inlaws in the area.Anybody here ever heard of Indian Princesses? Its a YMCA program for Fathers/Daughters in elementary school. Meet once a month, make beaded neckaces and other crafts, then go on a couple of campouts a year - a great bonding thing. A little awkward that first campout - the dads don't know each other, making small talk, etc. Then the rumors started spreading - a couple of campfires over, a guy had grabbed a guitar to entertain the kids and was actually really good. Turned out it was Don Henley. I don't know anything about him besides his music, but I give him credit for investing time in his daughter.
The Eagles are definitely in my top five all-time bands. Saw them on their History of the Eagles tour in Houston in 2014. So glad that I got to see them before Glen Frey's passing.
They came and played memorial stadium in the spring of 94. Hell freezes over tour. They used our locker room as a dressing room. They asked a group of us on the team to be "security" back stage. "Allegedly" a pair of Don Henley's drum sticks went missing. I have no idea where they went......The Eagles are definitely in my top five all-time bands.
