Anyone know a lot (or know someone who is an expert) about antiques?
My folks were big antique hunters, and acquired quite a bit of stuff including from overseas stints in the UK in the 60's and Germany in the 70's. Much of it is probably pretty valuable. On the flip side, Mom developed dementia after Dad passed and brought a bunch of useless junk, too. I've been wondering how antique stores replenish their stock, and whether it'd be a good idea to see if one would be interested in going through this stuff and buying/appraising the good stuff (and telling us what is crap that we should throw away).
We'd like to get rid of a bunch of this stuff, but don't know where to start. Any help is much appreciated.
