Sorry for the OT post. Lost my Dad yesterday and I’m making my way back to Texas. I’m fearful of the state of things I’ll find as I’m sure he didn’t have a will.

I appreciate any recommendations you guys can make.

Keith Novick of Foley & Lardner is top notch. Has done excellent work for a couple people I know.

Ha. My wife is a partner at Foley office in Dallas, so we know him. Great lawyer.

OP - not sure how complicated the estate is, and I obviously recommend Foley folks if there's a lot going on in it ... But for anyone looking for a cheaper option, we guide my wife's clients to Joseph "Chip" Fowler for basic estate stuff. We actually use him ourselves.
