Dear Houston Texans,

72 million dollars for Brock Osweiler? Can you say Ryan Mallett part deux?

I'm at a complete loss.

The Broncos were gonna pay him almost as much to keep him. Aaron Rodgers took a little time to get going. He wasnt gang busters his first year as a starter. As a Texans fan Im just glad they made a play for someone. Im not sure who else would have been a better option.

That's a LOT of money to spend on a guy with very limited experience. However, IMO he has just as much upside, if not more than anyone in this year's draft class. I'm not a Texans fan, but by signing Osweiler and Miller today, it takes care of two glaring needs and allows the Texans to select other need positions of need in the draft instead of QB & RB. It will probably end up being two good moves on Houston's part, but there are no guarantees, especially when it comes to quarterbacks.

Agreed. The Texans are in a better position right now than the Broncos going into next year at the QB position.

18 million per year. The top tier QBs are 20million+. I think it is 10x better than the wasted pick for Clowney

Whomever gets Goff is going to be a bunch of happy campers. I see him kicking rocks the first half of his rookie season and then things start clicking for him........

Assuming he doesn't go to Cleveland.

He could go to Cleveland many mock drafts have him going there. But I think the real gem is Wentz. You have been on Goff a long time and I understand but don't sleep on Wentz.

I'm not taking anything away from Wentz. But I am a firm believer in that more often than not, we are a product if our environment. Part of what makes up that environment is our level of competition. Goff has, far and away, played a higher level of competition. I think that allows him to have a steeper learning curve with regard to the next level.

Well many reports has wentz over goff especially with arm strength and bigger hands. Both are bright guys. Competition can be a factor but if you are a gym rat or gamer all bets are off.

Wentz has more physical talent than Goff no doubt. Mental ability (which is pretty much all that matters for the QB) who the hell knows.

I agree MM I think we took care of the QB spot and it doesn't leave it up to draft time. We need to load up some OL and if possible get a great TE because ours have brick hands. I don't see the issue with signing him at $18 a year when Denver was about to do the same just a little less. I'm a Texan fan and I'm glad we picked him up just hope he's our "franchise QB" we've been looking for. Hopkins should have another good year!
