On Thursday morning (9/26), the Texas Senate Committee on "Mass Violence Prevention & Community Safety" will meet and hear invited testimony from governmental agencies.

Rachel Malone with Gun Owners of America Texas is organizing folks to attend the hearing as a presence against additional legislation and restrictions. Please attend to show a strong presence in the room. This is our chance to draw a line in the sand and stand up for our liberties.

Here are some suggestions from Rachel about this hearing:

• Dress professionally.
• We recommend you park at the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage, 12th & San Jacinto (1201 San Jacinto).
• Hearing start time is 10:00 a.m. There is not a set end time. We've been told they expect it to last an hour or two, which is reasonable for this kind of meeting, but it could go longer.
