It's off season, we need a new topic.

Who makes the best fried chicken?

Who makes the best Wings?

For me, I love Bill Miller's fried chicken, and Cane's chicken fingers.

For my wings, there is no place like Pluckers.

My favorite fried chicken is Popeye's. BWW's bone-in wings are damn good. I get them "crispy" with dry buffalo on them with a side of hot.

Fried chicken? Momma.
A close second? Gus's friend chicken in a little town just north of Memphis. They sell forty ozs there too.

Chicken wings? I can't do wings that aren't fried. Hooters style. When Hooters went in the toilet I just sort of quit eating chicken wings.

I make the best fried chicken when I want it. Damn thing is, now my family makes me cook it every Christmas season before we switch over to the traditional Mexican fare on Christmas Eve. Let me tellya, cooking fried chicken for a large Mexican family plus significant others, that's a chore..... @clob94 if you ever find yourself in Reno and you find yourself craving some wings, check out a place called Joe Bob's Chicken Joint. Small local chain of like three stores, Chicken Joint, Chicken Shack, Chicken Palace. All the same but damn they do some good fried wings. Others (my wife) swear by a local chain called Bully's......YMMV....

Never heard of Wolfies, where are they?

If you make your own, do you have a secret ingredient you use?

When i make my fried chicken I use corn meal in the flour and garlic. Sometimes I'll make a batch with a little cayenne pepper for a kick. What kind of of oil do you use?
