Purchasing a split system American Standard with a 2 stage AC, but the tech is pushing for a single stage furnace. Is that compatible and does it even make sense? It’s. 5 ton 16 seer. He says that they hardly ever pair a 2 stage furnace with that a/c. Is is a climate thing? Should I insist on th 2 stage variable furnace? They’re installing tomorrow and I’m freaking out.😜
