I can only have sympathy for these kids and their chaperones. It would be a travesty to spend tax payer money to do special things to bring these irresponsible people back.
They had no business going on this trip knowing fully the overall situation.

Let them be stranded until they can come back. That would teach them and others social responsibility.

I've got a business partner stuck in Kinshasa. Airport shut down four days ago and he couldn't get out. His hotel he is in closes in four days. He's trying to find a corporate rental apartment to ride this out.
