For any OB realtors or people in the know, are most people including a commission for the buyers agent now even though you don’t have to? We’re selling our house in Humble and moving into the city. We are doing the standard 3% for our realtor but she mentioned most people are also doing 3% for the buyers agent. This is what she emailed me. Curious if this is common and what the best strategy is when selling. Any advice is appreciated.
“On the Listing Agreement, you'll notice the agent's compensation is at 6% (3% to a buyer's agent + 3% to the listing agent). With recent NAR changes, please know that the Buyer's Agent Compensation is not required to be paid by the seller, however I am noticing that most sellers are still paying it since many buyers have a lot of costs of their own. “
