If you live in Austin and haven’t been to Shoal Creek Saloon after a men’s basketball win you’re missing out. Beard and staff show up after post game and chat with everyone. Beard got up on a podium and talked for about 10 minutes. I’m ready to run through a wall!
Former players showed up which was awesome to see. Spent time chatting with JD Lewis and Conner Lammert. Also saw Lexi Wangmene. Blast from the past but love he’s getting everyone together.
Coach Bob D got up and told a hilarious story from the game. He said Jabari Rice walked up to Brock during the timeout before his 2 critical FTs when we were up 3 and said “you’re gonna miss these Free Throws…. But don’t worry I’ll get the rebound”
Needless to say Brock hit both clutch FTs and we won by 5. Love these coaches and players. Beard is the real deal and super sincere in person. He spent time walking around talking to anyone who wanted to chat and taking pictures around the room. Hook’em
