Probably not going to happen, sure, but for the first time in my lifetime I can honestly see the possibility that something could happen to EITHER of these candidates that would result in them not being able to continue as a candidate before the election.
Purely out of curiosity, what happens then? Can the party nominate a new candidate? Does the current candidates name stay on the ballot, basically disqualifying the party?
Anyone know? Also, has that ever happened in the past?
