Oklahoma finished, per 247, as the #17 overall class. They had 18 commits, but only 1 "super blue" as defined by Ketch. The next highest ranked composite is Ryan Fodje, who is national #70. They have 3 more guys in the 100-200 range (Thomas, Nickson, Blaylock), and the rest are not ranked as top 250 players.

Oklahoma is recruiting on a closer level to the TCUs, NC States, and Rutgers of the world than they are to the Longhorns. In fact, if you take the "super blue" idea as the gospel they are closer to the Texas Techs and Arizona's of the world than they are to Texas.

On the total points for the class on 247, OU is 62 points behind Texas. For reference, they are 62 points ahead of FCS Georgia State. The bottom line is OU is, for the first time in what seems like forever, not a relevant player in the world of major college football. I'm sure they'll fire Venables and get back there, but right now they are just average.

Bonus nugget: In terms of the transfer portal, 10 of their 15 transfers came from G5 or FCS. Of the P4 transfers they got came from OSU, FSU, Arkansas, and Stanford.
