is blatant and clearly by design. Officials only calling take downs. They do this so often, at what point does Texas make a fuss?

The officiating was abysmal and appeared to favor Texas. The late hit call on Ehlinger that offset the Texas hold was laughable.

Also, it is time for CFB to adopt NFL challenge system. Way too many stops for replay and it takes too long for the booth the make the decision. It reminds me of the original NFL replay system that had to be scrapped because it was so bad. The length of the game was ridiculous.

I normally don't reply to threads like this but good grief. OU has one of the best Olines in the country. How many holding penalties were called against UT's young patchwork OL? OU's pass rushing end Obo is one of the best in the conference and probably the country. Odd, he didn't get held all day by that patchwork OL isn't it?

And the officials weren't concerned with trying to hide their bias.

The missed false start call on the OU LT allowed the first TD to happen!
A similar situation was called on the Texas OL in the 4th quarter.

Many calls could of been called like pulling Malik hair on the 4th down conversion by ou when Malik was going up the hole and probably would of stopped him

Serious question, as I saw the hair pull. Is it even a penalty to pull hair? Might need to figure out a way to keep it in the helmet if you don't want it pulled.

I guess it all depends on whose ox is being gored. After one OU TD I saw that tall ref walk up to the OU guys hoping around and he was clearly laughing. Sure as hell after the next big Play by Texas, he threw a flag. Coincidense? I am sure it was.

I am pissed at the outcome....pissed that I had to walk out in front of my house and sing that crappy ou fight song...but I dont think the refs had a damned thing to do with the outcome. It doesnt matter who did what to who...the damned Sooners won. Had we tackled better, we would have won. Too bad for us.

Extension of the Uniform
The NFL sees hair that pours out of the back of helmet as an extension of the uniform. Defensive players are free to pull the hair to make a tackle. In 2008, NFL owners discussed forcing players to tie up or cut their hair if it obscured the name on the back of their jersey. The proposition failed, allowing NFL players to continue to sport long hair at their own risk. There have been incidents where penalties have been called for mistaken horse-collar tackles when the player was actually well within the rules; pulling hair, not the collar. And overly vicious hair-pull tackles have been flagged and fined for unsportsmanlike conduct.

This is what I found but idk how college rules it.

Agree. There were bad calls on both sides and I did see our OL hold just as much as OUSUX. Missed head shot to Sam could've and should've been called but I'll take that missed call for the "roughing the passer" that Sam eventually got. It was a hard fought game and we had it won if we just didn't have "brain farts" on defense in the 4th qtr.

Every fan base thinks the other team is holding. It's because you see it on every play when your team is on defense and when you are on offense you aren't looking for it. If you believe that OU exploits the way big 12 officials call holding, and Texas doesn't then you have to ask yourself how stupid are Texas coaches?

I have never seen such a bunch of sore winners as the OU group. Good lord, the crying on all of the boards. It was freaking a 1,000 degrees on the field and there was holding on both sides, both sides were exhausted. The game is over, move on and both sides need to stop freakin crying.

Baker was also down when Longhorn landed on him and believe there was offsides on the same play not called.

Interesting comments, because I saw a bunch ( I mean a BUNCH ) of holding go uncalled for texas. I could post pic after pic after pic of no calls. Of cousre, I also saw some go OU's way as well. And I saw many, many, many, many oh so many missed tackles by the OU defense as well. Weird how that happens. Of course texas had some missed tackles too. Makes me wish they'd spend their first practice after the game on nothing but tackling drills because that was a clown show. I'm just glad the no calls didnt impact the result of the game for OU.

Heisenberg...I don't doubt it a bit.....but if our guys are gonna hold so much they ought to do it better as our QB barely got out of there alive.

If you care to look you'll find a bunch of uncalled holding by any team in pretty much every game. That's because the refs don't call it to the letter of the rule. It's kind of like strike zones.
