Was going to put all this in the War Room, but worth getting out early ... talked to a source with knowledge of Silsbee OL Patrick Hudson's recruitment. Some notes of interest ...
He visited Baylor last weekend. He has now visited Texas. Hudson will visit Georgia this weekend, then take an OU mid-week visit. He'll take his last visit on January 29 to Arkansas. He will not visit Texas A&M.
I'm told the visit to Texas went very well, but Hudson is still leaning to Baylor. In fact, the person I spoke with said he's leaning pretty strongly to the Bears.
"Baylor just really makes him feel right at home. All the schools are nice schools, but Baylor makes him feel really comfortable. And it's a very good coaching staff," the source said.
How strong is his commitment to Baylor?
"On a 1-10 scale, Baylor would be a 10," the source said.
We'll see how Hudson feels after he has some time to let the UT visit (and the others) sink in, does his in-homes and sits down with those close to him to weigh his options, but for right now he's still a pretty firm commitment to Baylor.
