Georgia
Cincinnati
Michigan
Ok St
Alabama
Notre Dame
Ohio St
Baylor

This is only fair based on a combination of quality of wins and quality of losses.

What do you think?

Bama's only quality win is Miss. Lost to a mediocre 4 loss team.
OkSt has OU and BAY for quality wins. Lost to a mediocre 5 loss team.
ND has no quality wins, but only loss is to Cin
Michigan has quality win OSU, and lost to a good MSU
OSU thrashed MSU. Lost to UM and Oregon(who does not have any other quality wins)
Baylor beat OU. Lost to OKSt and a terrible TCU

I can see Ole Miss ranked above Baylor because their losses are not as bad, but neither is their win quality.

If okla st wins Big 12 CCG and Bama loses to Georgia then to me it’s a no brainer if it’s a fair and square deal. The only question for me is how profitable for the playoff is it to have Okla. St. there? Would they travel well? It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out

Remember when Les Miles LSU team had 2 losses the year he won the NC but his claim was that they were undefeated in regulation play because their loses came in overtime. To me losses have to weigh heavily as well. A loss is a loss

I like those four teams but then again I like seeing anybody in the CFP other Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State. This season may be an aberration but I wonder about the impact of 6th year seniors had on many programs. Did they somehow level the playing field against the big boys?

I agree. It will be a big task for Okie St to beat Baylor again-They shouldn’t even have to play the CCG. OSU beat them already and have the best record of all, so there is nothing left to settle. I also remember Okie Lt getting screwed by the salivating power elite for their game of the century that was a ground and pound 9-6 snooze fest and the Natl title game sucked 21-0. There only loss that year (2011) was, wait for it, Iowa St. I was looking at there record that year and they pretty much throttled everybody. I also noticed that Todd Monken was the OC who is now the OC at Georgia. Doug Meachum was also on that staff

I agree that they technically shouldn’t have to play Baylor again but to officially win the conference they have to play in the CCG. Having said that, if they win, it should propel them into the playoffs. Okla. St. is beatable but they have a pretty good team this year and their qb is pretty good. Are they better than Cincy? I’ve only seen Cincy play once this year when they throttled SMU

If they make it, they will likely play Georgia.
Michigan should take care of Cincinnati pretty easily.

Notre Dame will not have a conference championship on its resume. Which WAS a bullet point when they booted Baylor and TCU in favor of Ohio State in 2015. So if they are consistent (ha!) they are eliminated. And BTW - on your list of teams, there are only 3 that have an undefeated QB. Georgia. Cincy. and now BAYLOR - unbeatable since Shapen took over!

Baylor and TCU were booted not because of a lack of a conf championship....but because they were Baylor and TCU.
you just have to accept the truth

Oh I know that. The committee just made up "bullet points" so they could allow Ohio State to jump them. We'll see if that bullet point is still as important in 2021 as it was in 2015.

I would flip Cincinnati and Michigan but other than that I agree. If your ok state and Cincy though you are rooting hard for Georgia. You don’t want Alabama beating them
