The UpBring organization is doing massive ****ing good for foster children in Texas. This is to help their girls location just outside of Austin offering “restorative” foster care for ages 11-17.
Restorative care for these girls includes proper counseling and treatment around the trauma they’ve experienced as kids. Also basic life skills education like how to interview for a job, getting an apartment, buying a car, doing taxes, etc. They even offer A nurses assistant certification program so these girls leave with a marketable skill at 18 years old.
There are two ways to do the best damn thing you can do for another human today.

Outside of UpBring’s work:
- 70% of foster teen girls are pregnant by 21
- 1/2 develop substance abuse dependence
- 50% don’t graduate high school
- Only 3% earn a college degree.
- 60% of child sex trafficking victims come from the foster system
Restorative foster care like UpBring has shown:
- 90+% circumvent teen pregnancy
- 80% avoid substance abuse
- 87% enroll in college
