I request prayers. My mom was at the beach this afternoon and took a fall and broke her hip on an afternoon walk. I know that broken hips in older people represent a tough road ahead, but she is a tough lady and God is great. I can't believe she broke her hip falling on the sand, but it's a reminder that our earthly bodies are fragile and we all need to take good care while we're here. I ask for prayers for her, for her surgeons at the Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area, and for me and my two sisters to be advocates, caretakers and cheerleaders for her as she gets back to normal after the surgery.
