Pre-Game at DKR

Hi All,

I'm a Rutgers fan who is starting a podcast on boys' trips. I'm launching my first episode in a week or so and Austin is my first city.

I was at DKR for the LSU game a few years ago and I wanted to know if the pre-game tailgating is similar for most games. I'm guessing that major country bands aren't playing in the field by the North end zone for every game, but is that usually where a party is?

Also, there were vendors on the streets surrounding the stadium selling beer. Was that just for a huge game, or is that a regular thing? We were mainly drinking in that field listening to Midland. Is that usually the go-to or are there bars with close proximity to the stadium?

Last, it was impossible to get an Uber that day. The traffic was insane. Again, is this due to the game against LSU being so hyped or is traffic before and after the game always a huge issue?

Thanks everyone!

We are rich, my dude. We have country music bands every Saturday. We offer to dip them in liquid gold before they go on stage, because we've got money to burn.

Clob......we dip them in gold until the 4th quarter........then we dip in Silver because in every game we get the silver in the 4th quarter.........

I don't think anyone gives a shit anymore. It'll probably be pretty subdued.

You're basically going to be attending an event that will rival Cal, Stanford and Maryland
I've pretty much wrote this season off. No sense getting pissed off anymore, let Sark address the needs this offseason now that he knows what he has. See what happens next year.

Fan apathy has definitely set in at this point. There will be a LOT of empty seats for the KU and KSU games. Whatever bowl game Texas goes to, I wouldn't expect there to be a lot of tickets sold.

Yep. A great showing for Dewberry and Banks…who will be attending the aggy / Auburn game this weekend which unfortunately will probably be a pretty electric environment to be at. We need to start winning and now!
