Was fixing my fence today. Used a temperature gauge that is supposed to be kept in the shade. Stuck it in the sun, anyway, to see how high it'd go.

122!

In the shade it dropped down to 110, then 100.

Anyway, my HOA, neighbors and I are glad it's over with. Lookin' pretty. (But there's another section of fence that's down that the HOA doesn't know about...)

It's been brutal the past month in Houston with the humidity. We've had rain to block out the sun but man has it been crazy hot this Summer. I put in some trim in the garage last week and by time I was done it felt like someone threw me in a pool. Stay hydrated!

I'll never leave this house until it's time to go to the home. But I'd never buy in a HOA. Been there, done that, don't think it's worth it.
