Right now the Texas Senate is hearing arguments and testimony about whether Texas should give tax money to private schools in the form of vouchers. My children attend private school and at first glance it seems like a win. But I have heard that if such vouchers are past the private schools will raise tuition in which the vouchers will essentially be moot for us paying tuition and the cost will remain the same. This would be then essentially a tax payment to the schools with no benefit financially for the parents as it’s marketed to be. Has anyone else heard this and if so do you care? Or is it well, that’s more money to make the private schools better?
