Amid all the high profile coaching changes happening in the NFL, I am sure a number of teams would have wanted Sarkisian. CDC deserves to be lauded for the precision with which he closed on Sark.
IMO, this is better than Urban Meyer.
Sark is really good today and is still on the rise.

I feel like this is as good as CDC could have hoped for in getting rid of Herman, outside of Meyer. I feel Sark is on a mission. Herman was expecting to succeed here at Texas and Sark is DRIVEN to succeed here at Texas. Sark has done all the right things so far and hopefully will fill the coaching staff with studs so we can enjoy games on saturdays and know we will always be in the hunt!

All good points. One other thing that is important is Sark is 46. Meyer is 56. If Sark is successful, he will be around much longer than Meyer would have been.

Lets face it, we were both damaged goods. Texas was not the program it once was and losing recruits. Sark had a drinking problem but re-established himself in a big way. I am very excited we landing him, especially when he has something to prove. I am also glad that Texas saw he was a reformed man and just needed a chance. Others could learn from this hire and see redemption is real. Hookem!!!
