Hello Horns.

Trying to figure out my plans for next weekend, this 11am kick seems pretty rough. This is my first trip to Austin and I'd like to take in as much of a Texas gameday experience as I can. Is there anything I should try to check out that morning before going into the stadium? I was planning on being in my seats by like 10:30 for the band and pregame stuff.

Are there any bars that would be open that morning close to the stadium and if not are there any other tailgate options besides parking lots. Anyone have a legit tailgate that they want a mid 20's Maryland fan, Notre Dame fan and Penn State fan to crash!? (Will bring beers). Any bar/food recommendations are also welcome. TIA

Scholtz beer garden is close to the stadium.... tailgating will be everywhere outside the stadium. Everyone is friendly and always love visitors. Especially if you bring beer with you... just walk around by the stadium and you will not be disappointed bro. Enjoy your trip!

I always got a kick out if the Three Amigos movie scene where they walk into the Mexican cantina and ask the guy for three beers.

The bartender says "We don't have beer. Only Tequila..."
Martin Short says "What's tequila?"
Bartender shrugs and says "Eh....its like beer".
