First of all let me say that Baylor University had a corrupt football program. Not just Art Briles but from Ken Starr on down.
That said because I have so many lifelong friends and relatives I've always had a soft spot for Baylor. You couldn't find a fb coach more different from Art Briles than Matt Rhule. Travon Blanchard was the best player on their team and he got kicked off their team just for getting into an argument with a woman. We all know Briles would have swept it under the rug. You can tell they missed him tonight. My friends said that Rhule went to the sororities and the women dorms and told them that things that were covered up will not be tolerated.Maybe kicking Travon Blanchard off the team is an indication that things are going to be different.
We'll see.

Baylor fans are actually saying that they wished Briles was never fired on a forum I just read. Some are playing the loss off as just a "transition" loss. No Baylor, the apocalypse is upon you, enjoy being the doormat again.

Give it a break Baylor fan. Of course the University is saying that, they're covering for each other. Why isn't Briles suing the school for giving him the boot if he is so innocent? You can't possibly be this big of an idiot. Baylor paid millions (rumored at $25M) to settle his contract, which included all kinds of nondisclosure provisions. The real question is, after settling with Briles, a full year later, why would the BOR issue this letter to him? It wasn't part of the settlement. That letter certainly provides wriggle room, but it flies in the face of most of the allegations I have read about Briles.
You are right - losing to Liberty is a new low. We are starting a new dark period until we get lucky with another coach. But ... OU still can't say about Stoops what the BU BOR released about Briles. Congratulations - you have a better PR department.
Neither side has any room to talk about the other. Both Baylor and OU are the worst when it comes to the treatment of women and thugs, and have a history of looking the other way in the interest of winning football games.

I'm not a pro fan, nor a zeke fan, but in all honesty, I think zeke has done some dumb, childish crap, but I don't think he beat that girl. I may be completely wrong, but just given the text messages, the context and the situation, I'd be really surprised if he did more than bow up to her to get her off of him or make her stop swinging at him.
