Rebuild

Good idea. I just noticed that it been a LOOOOOONG time since the top 10 threads on this board have all been somewhat football or sports related.

If we land the commits they say we are, we are going to be, at a minimum, much larger upfront.

Let's talk about a way too early 2-Deep:

RT: Christian Jones, Cam William's
RG: Curtis Dunlap*, Hayden Connor
C: Junior Angilao, Jake Majors
LG: Devon Campbell*, Neto Umezulu
LT: Kelvin Banks, Malik Agbo
QB: Quinn Ewers, Hudson Card
RB: Bijan Robinson, Roschon Johnson
TE: Ja'Tavion Sanders, Gunnar Helm
WR: Xavier Worthy, Troy Omeire
WR:Kelvontay Dixon, Jayden Alexis
WR: Jordan Whittington, Brennan Thompson

That left side of the line is going to be dominant here in about 2 years. I’m ready to unleash Sanders this season as well. I can’t help but be optimistic looking at this 2 deep roster projection.

I think the chances of that combination starting game 1 is pretty slim. A lot of communication need between that tandem. It would require a very aggressive learning curve.

This kid is so powerful, it's hard to watch his highlights and get an indication of exactly how good he is right now.

He just demolishes anything in his path. He does appear to play all the way through the whistle and is extremely violent with his hands.
Another trait that our Oline has been missing.

Either way it’s exciting that this is the most talent we have seen on the offensive line here in 10+ years. If Ewers is as good as advertised then this may be the start of something special here. It’s really hard to not be optimistic after this years recruiting class and the addition of Ewers.

Defensively the only position that is really thin is LB. Our secondary should be loaded with talent for the foreseeable future.

Expect at least one transfer WR.

Coach Terrell who said Conner was underrated coming out of HS said Neto maybe be the most natural center in the nation this year. Wonder if Flood will agree.

Imagine being the lone db playing zone and that dude breaks through as a lead blocker.

still like doug brooks at shiner. use him as h-back/fb while you grow him, a la henry melton. he's a "take a flier" guy due to personality, intelligence, love of the game and quick-twitch. there is no downside

He’s got all the tools to be a first round pick down the road. He could probably be an all American 1 technique if he wanted to be. He can move extremely well for a 320 pound guy. Once he gets out in space and gets to moving he’s running everything over in sight!

Numbers are too tight to ‘take a flier’

Count me a fan. He's violent with his punch and on multiple plays he's running 40 - 50 yards down the field trucking everyone in sight. I get it's a highlight reel but still impressive.

That's what I loved the most about this highlight. My man is running all the way to the endzone.

He appears to be a little tight in the hips, but he is still getting out in space and finding someone to mash. I despise Olinemen that are suppose to be out in front on a screen pass and watch the tackler run by them.

Consider running a trap where we pull our LG and LT around and it's Campbell and Banks, because Banks is better at pulling and coming around than Campbell.

Great post, DJ. I barely watched that video. What a stud. Whatever it takes to get this young man. All hands on deck.
