I am planning a trip to San Francisco in August with my wife and our son who is about to be a senior at UT. This will be the first visit for us, so I would appreciate hotel recommendations and/or areas to stay. Most recommendations seem to be pretty evenly split between Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square. I have found some great deals on condo and house rentals in the Sunset District, but I don't want to be so far away from everything that we spend all of our time getting to where we are going. We will be there for 4 days.
