Big Ten fan looking for some insight on game day at the Texas fair. What are the best options for parking and tailgating?
Going to make the trip this year as we start to work away at our bucket list games.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you get there 2 hours before game, parking won’t be a problem. I love pregame, so if you are into that it is fun. Don’t forget your “blow u Sucks” shirt. Instant popularity:)

If you’re looking to save money, there are generally quite a few vacated seats in the burnt orange side by halftime. So scalp a seat in the nosebleeds and upgrade your-seating location after the half.:D Jk of course. Oh and please refer to it as the Red River Shootout, some call it Red River Rivalry these days

Nothing wrong with all Oklahoma fans
My great grandmother was born in Oklahoma before it was even a state.
Let's just say the ones who stay are a little different.

The joke is that people from Texas and Arkansas are the Sooners the people who snuck in. The rest of the idiots are the Boomers. The people who asked permission.

If you know SWC and ArkLaTex history this is the reason why Oklahoma A&M(State) was involved with the original SWC. All the good river bottom land was taken in Eastern Oklahoma and these people formed an agriculture school in Stillwater.

It's truly an interesting game to attend, never know what you'll see. I was lucky enough to be seated close enough to get this pic a few years back.

Is Friday night downtown still a thing? I remember the cops cracking down in the mid 60s. State Fair is a big deal still.

It's a one of a kind game. Should never move from the neutral site. Don't want the okies coming to our fair city and besmirching it.

PLEASE leave it at the Cotton Bowl. It's the only place to catch a great college football game without all the advertisements..... like the godzillatron.

No, the Friday night Commerce St. Friday night deal has been dead for quite a few years. Too many drunken incidents killed it.

You must be thinking of aggy and recruits.

Or if you want to respect tradition, refer to it as "Texas-OU" (or "OU-Texas" if you live in a trailer, have meth mouth, f*ck your sister, etc.).

"Red River Shootout" was just another corporate promotional contrivance that sucked as much as any of the others.

I myself prefer Texas/Oklahoma. And I like to type TX/ OK.

And I never refer to them anything but OK. This is a bitter, bitter, rivalry. Nothing nice from me no OU ever just OK.

Turf, same thing on my b list. Been to enough Tex-OU games but do want to see games in Austin and Columbus. How many on your list? I have 20. Going to start next year with UDub, Oregon and OU in the Rose Bowl. Hope to do in 3 years. Tex-OU a fanatical game. This year will probably be like the last 90. OU has more experienced talent but UT has won plenty of those games.
