We are just two weeks away from the popular Fun for All, to get Texans with disabilities into the great outdoors! Inks Lake is featured in this month’s Texas Parks and Wildlife Department magazine, showcasing some of the things we have.
Between the hours of 10 AM to 2 PM, we will have a fishing pond that is stocked with over 200 catfish from the Inks Lake Hatchery. Game wardens will be there to help answer questions and explain how to measure your catch.
Paddling will be available and we will have our specialty transfer chair for those unable to switch from a wheelchair.
Crossbow archery will be available and so will our GRIT chair.
Hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, stargazing, geocaching and so many other outdoor activities are for EVERYONE! Please come out and support our endeavor to make the state parks more accessible to all.
@TexasPride1 and I will out and about in the park throughout the day and several OB members have mentioned they will be there. If you plan to come, reserve your daily entrance early through our website. Day passes are selling fast!
