RIP John Madden

Speaking of Madden's use of the telestrator, anyone else remember the time he was broadcasting a Cowboys game and accusing Nate Newton of hiding a snickers bar in the pants of his uniform during a game. If I recall correctly I think he even circled it etc using the telestator. I heard Newton wasn't happy about it. Who can foret the Madden Turkey Leg award

As a kid living in the East Bay in the 1970s, Madden was a legend and a fixture around town. It was not uncommon for a kid like me to run into Oakland Raiders at local record stores and coffee shops. One of our high school party spots was at the Raider training facility, a hidden corner of the parking lot. Madden might have been the most popular man in the Bay Area. He was just down to Earth. S'long coach, just win baby....

Does anyone know the cause of death? I don't see any reporting on that.
They aren’t saying, but the family did say it was unexpected, so doesn’t sound like he was sick of anything. At least not that he knew

He may of had the biggest impact on the game of football and the popularity of football as anyone ever. I mean he was one of the best coaches of all time. Then he goes on to become an iconic broadcaster, and if your too young to know him from that you know him from the video game. Literately he’s made an impact on every football fans life one way or another regardless of age. Truly amazing

Google John Madden Miller lite.

You'll laugh for an hour.

A link for you young pups that don't understand the impact Madden had in the advertising world.

The only reason I watched some NFL games was John Madden was the commentator!
