RIP Lion of Fallujah

On May 11, 2007 Major Doug Zembiec was killed in Iraq While assigned to the CIA ground branch. Doug was a superb Marine and good friend. I had the pleasure of serving with him at 2d Force, he commanded one of the platoons when I was CO. He is a bit of a legend in the Corps, he was an academy grad, wrestler and warrior. He is missed, I think of him often. Semper Fi
