I havnt heard a word about this guy. He was supposed to be a top recruit that had a problem getting in, but finally made it. He has now completed a red shirt year ....at least I think he has as I have heard nothing about him.

I guess my question is why is he never mentioned when the subject of the OL next year comes up? There was much conversation about Raulerson graduating early and leaving, but Major was never mentioned. Why not? Did I miss something?

I would love an answer here to. He was supposed to be a big time talent wasn't he?

Came in late, out of the news for good reasons but should get more work in over the Spring, Summer.

I think he was pretty raw, a little light coming out of hs, and came from a system that wasn't spread. Not %100 positive though. Should be competing for a spot though now he's added weight and had a year to learn/grow.

The high ceiling and athleticism are definitely there though.

I noticed him standing on the sidelines at the Tech game. He looked huge to me. Texas has 3 solid pieces in Vahe, Williams, and Perkins. Sure hope some of these redshirts can step up. Jeez, it would be harsh to throw another true freshman out there. The big question is who will step in at center. One of the returning 3? If by some chance you could convert Williams to center you'd have the strength of the line at center and guard.

Buck Major should compete for the starting RT spot with Tristan Nickelson this offseason.

Many think he could be a starter given his incredible size and athletic ability, but he is still quite raw.

The center needs to be the smartest linemen on the field. Don't know who that is out of what we have left, I'm sorry to hear that Jake Raulerson decided to transfer, he would have been a great replacement.

Maybe Raulerson could have played QB? He probably could have played C and LG at the same time. I also heard he he made All Pro based upon his play vs the scout team.
