We discussed in another thread about Casey being the frontrunner for the starting position going into next year. Basically, we hadn't seen enough of Casey until last night. One reason that I failed to mention of why I never thought Casey would ever start is that Roschon would have more than likely moved his way into the 2nd spot this season at the QB position. He has shown us what he is made of and next year he will be a redshirt sophomore. He has demonstrated all of the attributes that a QB needs: maturity, team focused, a fighter (I am sure there is more to the list). If he wants to go back to QB, it should be granted and let him duke it out. I am not sure what could have been with RoJo or what Casey will become as the heir apparent, but it still has me wondering.

From what I saw of Rojo in high school he needed some work on his mechanics and throwing the ball.

QB rooms can only have three in it. I’d rather have Roschon at RB than him transferring.

Casey Thompson is the best fit for what Yurcich does. Ewers would have been perfect. Leave running the ball to running backs.

You obviously never saw Roschon throw the football. That is why he is at RB and he is plenty OK with that.

I did see him throw in a scrimmage as a freshman (two springs ago as an early enrollee). That isn’t why he is at RB. He is at RB because he cares about the team and wanted to contribute when the RB group was depleted last year. I am not saying he should be QB, I am just saying, now that we know what he is made of, could he have grown into a quality QB.

All I know is Rojo always keeps moving forward. He almost never gets stuffed for a loss. As soon as he gets the ball he's leaning forward and getting something positive.

Well Casey Thompson will be our starting QB next year so let's get ready for that. Ehlinger will not be coming back next year and skip his extra year of eligibility.
