Took Rusty to the lake to try our luck fishing for the first time in Virginia. He's used to the water from our trips to Canyon Lake while we were in NB.
Long story short...huge mistake. We get to the lake, I'm unloading the gear to fish and ....splash!! Rusty missed the water so much he jumped off the pier into the lake. At first, I thought it was a huge fish jumping...only to see the top of his head under the pier. I didn't panic because he's a good swimmer. But he wouldn't come back to the shore. I yelled at him but still he was swimming about 30 feet from the bank now. I had to throw his tennis ball at him and he brought it back.
But then, he drops it and bolts back to the water! Finally wrangled him in after a few minutes but by now, I'm reserved to playing with his ball and him in the water. Never wet a line🤣
I guess it's the little things. One day he'll be gone...or I will so we just had some 😁
His fishing days are pretty much over😉😃👊🏽
