Sam's biggest weakness

The biggest deficit in Sam's game seems to be the deep ball. Multiple times this season he has left throws short on otherwise open deep balls. Fortunately, they usually end up as incompletions but against WVU it turned into his 1st int.

The decision to go deep is usually well founded but it just seems he can't get the ball in front of the WR.

It seems that teams have picked up on this and are taking away our strengths on offense (run game, short passing game) by cheating up or being aggressive in getting down hill quick. Sam has yet to make anyone pay in a big way by hitting a good deep ball.

To that point, the Eagles drop was a but under thrown. If he puts it out in front, Eagles doesn't have to fight off the DB

Welcome to the "our QB can't throw the deep ball" club. Tua is about the only one I have seen who does it without much effort. Burrow is MUCH better at it this year.

2) Audible off Beck's stupid screen pass to a tight end slant

he cant see front side pressure, he doesn't pre-snap read well at all, he has the slowest feet i have ever seen on a "DT" QB, his deep ball is not good. he has very little touch on intermediate routes, line is a shit sandwich with no bread.

Thats just from yesterdays game.
