Saturday 1 pm update - I just got a call from someone close to Hudson's recruitment.

I'm told the OU visit is actually an official visit. However, I'm also told he following: "He's visiting Oklahoma but he's still leaning to Texas. You can put that out there."

- I just got word that Patrick Hudson is at Oklahoma today. Trying to get a second confirmation but that's per someone close to Hudson.

As we mentioned on the board this morning, offensive lineman JP Urquidez is in Austin on Saturday for an unofficial visit. Urquidez, out of Copperas Cove, has been pretty tight-lipped about where things stand, but the Longhorns are in very good shape with this one.

RB Kam Martin is on an official visit to Auburn. He'll follow up with a visit to TCU. The Horned Frogs have kind of been my dark horse in this one, so keep an eye on them. I still think Texas has a great chance at him if the coaches want him, but the numbers could be very tight.

The toughest one to read in all of this continues to be Patrick Hudson. A source close to Hudson told me early Friday evening that he was going to visit Texas, but later followed up with a message saying because it couldn't be an official visit (Hudson took an official visit to UT in January and you only get one per school), Hudson probably would not be visiting Texas. Texas A&M was also attempting to get him on campus but I do not expect that to happen either.

In talking to another recruiting reporter on Friday night, he and I both agreed that Hudson very well may not visit anywhere this weekend. I'm still thinking that could be the case. But I don't think that's necessarily bad news for Texas. Hudson likes the Longhorns well enough that it wouldn't shock me at all to see him wind up at UT without a post-NLI release visit. This one's tough to pin down and different people close to Hudson are offering varying opinions, but Hudson is very high on Texas so I still like UT's chances here. Tough one to predict though.

On that note, I'm off to my nieces' joint b-day party (5 and 8 ... bring on the fun!!). I'll be around the boards and will follow up if I hear anything more.
