Ok bro so as a long time advocate of inter-sport athletes, you're homie is big time excited about Jonah Williams getting some time on the diamond this Spring. I like the idea of him as a pinch runner and relief pitcher myself. I did run across him years ago in a tourney and was impressed. Dude is a haus.
Butt I am also disappointed that Alex January is not getting a similar opportunity. Bitterly disappointed if I am being completely honest here bor. January was a total beast at baseball from t-ball through high school and I firmly believe that he was the second coming of Frank Thomas until he decided to take his talents to football. Main reason he was ranked as low as he was in football, which also benefitted us and made the recruitment relativley simple (in addition to his dad being a former player).
Now I agree we need DTs more than baseball players so his roll should be limited. In particular, he wood be ideal as a pinch runner on 3rd base against douches like aggy so that he can mow down buttmuch catchers and pitchers and send a message for Schloss. After getting trucked a few times by a 300+ pound baserunner who is flying down the line, aggy and other douchecanoes are going to start giving us the respect we deserve on the basepaths. What better way to serve notice to the SEC that Texas means busines and is hear to take souls? Oh yeah there aren't any. He could be such a legend for sending out aggy baseball doofuses on stretchers, and then doing the same to Marcel Reid on 4th and short next year.
Anywho this is ideal because we wouldn't really care if he got tossed and the football team is going to benefit by letting him blow up clowns with reckless abandon. We need DTs to be more physical, and destroying catchers is ideal practice. It is the perfect win-win and I am super worried we are going to screw the pooch.
