What’s happened to college football over the last 10 years has been the great Public Relations victory in the history of college athletics. Somehow half the country has been convinced that football in the SEC “just means more,” that the league is tougher, more competitive, etc.
Yet for years now, their bowl record has never lived up to the hype. If it truly was a superior conference you wouldn’t see the SEC lose so many bowl games.
