K state has just put Miss state face down in the pillow and is slowly tightening their grip on the bed sheets wrapped around the Bulldogs necks.

you boys ought to be ashamed!....making fun of secsecsec.....they are after all 2-1 so far against a mighty OOC schedule....K State may have prevailed. but Tenn and UGA whipped the ass off of Chattanooga and Arkansas State!!!!!

ND/GA is a real dilemma for me. I've said this before but my 2nd favorite team has always been whoever is playing ND. But for 1 game I can put it aside and hope that ND not only beats GA but embarrasses them. I'll find out if my suspicions about Jake Fromm are accurate. We'll also find out if Ian Book is ready for prime time. Along with TX/LSU this is the biggest non con game this year. What it all boils down to is just for once I want to see one of the SEC's golden boys take it on the chin. Even if it is against ND.

Now that hurts. ;)

Top to bottom, the $EC is no better than the Big 12 or Big 10.

Yeah But right now it looks like they will have at least 4 teams in the top 10. Everyone talks about that Pat Forde article. But did you see where he predicted that the SEC will have 2 teams in the playoffs? So where is this objectivity people are taking about because I don't see it.

Let's hope not. No team should have two teams in the four-team playoff. No one wants to see that. So tired of the $EC bias and them being vastly overrated every year.

And Auburn and LSU beat OR and TX. The games were close but they prevailed. It's going to be depressing if they get 4 teams in the NY6 bowls again.

BUT

There is hope that it won't happen this year. Trying to find a positive when you lose is overrated. But one thing I'm certain of is that SEC defenses are no better than anyone else at stopping spread offenses with good qb's. The whole country saw the big, bad, LSU defense punk out with fake injuries when they played us. It would take to long list certain games as examples but that's not the point. The point is that the media is starting to notice this. And when I mean media I don't mean gameday because we all know they're hopeless.

Tech got molested by Sumlin. Whats your point?

The point is, everyone outside of $EC fan is tired of hearing the nonstop trash that $EC fans talk about that conference. If you look at every team in the $EC, from top to bottom, it's really not much different than most of the other P5 conferences. I think that it is extremely odd and puzzling for a group of fans to root for a conference, when it should be about rooting for your team, and your team only. Some schools (not naming any names of course), seem to base their validity on a conference. They let it define them instead of trying to define the conference by their own program.

Fair enough, but the objective must have been achieved because you guys seem to chime in every time the SEC loses a game. You had a great chance to make a statement at home vs LSU in the 2nd game of their offense and didn't do it. It happens, but your vitriol shows your underlying bitterness because of your team's squandered chance. You have another chance this weekend to beat a team that has owned you as of late. You should definitely win.

Texas stomped Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. You forget about that? If a&m can beat Georgia, I'll be impressed, but I don't think that'll happen. A loss is a loss, but Texas squandered several chances and could have beaten L$U if a couple of things had gone right. Texas went toe to toe with them and didn't blink, and lit up the LSU defense for 38 points and 530 yards of offense. So much for $EC defenses. It has been proven over and over that $EC teams cannot stop spread, RPO, tempo offenses from other conferences very well.

What $EC fans don't get is with all of the cheerleading y'all do for a conference, it opens you up to ridicule, which is why non-$EC fans love to rib y'all when one of your beloved teams loses.

It will be interesting to watch how the SEC deals with LSU new offense.

Sure, everyone has trouble with it. It is an equalizer for having less talent. You see that type of offense all the time and couldn't slow LSU down. Yes you beat Georgia, but that was last year. Also, These defenses have slowed them down when they had to, or OU would be National Champions. One more thing. If SEC offenses go this with this style, they will definitely take a hit defensively. It is just difficult to have it both ways. Clemson does it better than anyone IMO.

How do you think the game will go this weekend for Texas? Just curious.

I was thinking tollbooth was an okie aggy...I could be wrong, but what he wrote was wayyy to clever to have been thought of by an aggy.
