Should UT go to a bowl?

UT is fading and regressing. I get it a bowl game gives you an extra month of practice, but doesn’t look like they have done a damn thing with a seasons worth. I’d rather not see them receive another ass kicking.

God No, a disgusting display of coaching, character and game preparation. This is unacceptable at so many levels. Player development seems limited at best. So much for top 10 recruiting classes. TH and his cronies are the second coming of Charlie Strong. This team is mediocre on a good day. So, 3 years in and little development of talent. Too much money paid for pure crap on the field.

It's embarrassing if it's the Champ Sports Bowl or some other business name instead of a bowl with history like Sugar, Cotton or even Alamo.

But, yeah, a bowl earns more practice time, visibility for seniors who want to play next level, and one last chance to play football for most seniors.

Ok, so Champ Sports Bowl is the old Citrus Bowl, so it has a little history. A trip to Orlando.

I wish they'd quit naming them after .com's and other businesses. Stick with the earlier name. Let the companies plaster their names everywhere inside the stadium.

Not sure why anybody would say no. An extra month of practice for the younger guys is great towards getting them ready for next year. Ya I get it everybody is pissed off it was a disappointing season but a chance to win a bowl game and close the season on a positive note is better than no bowl at all.

This Texas team beat Tech’s a$$ for 3 quarters of football. I wish this type of team would show up every Saturday!

We bring in some new coaches to assist TH next season with player development, fundamentals, & game planning for opponents’ weaknesses; then, we will hopefully see the results on the field (10 win seasons & CF playoffs).

As long as those new coaches are actually good with player development, fundamentals, game-planning & adjustments, and not just with recruiting.

Texas has a history of putting athletes into the NFL, and must continue that. UT cannot be a fun destination college.

It's not just on the coaches and staff. All those 4 stars and above need to be preparing themselves for the next level, physically and mentally. The coaches need to take that ambition into account when deciding whom to recruit.

Pipeline, not destination.
