This guy, coming out of nowhere, was mostly right about the return of Big Ten football. Just adding to the discussion here. Don't know much about Texas football. Not really vouching for Yacht, but adding him to the mix.

I haven't talked to anyone lately that knows jack, but I have a gut feeling that the wheels are already in motion for Urban. I'm sure there is a group who will fight this, but right now I think he is the only guy that can fix this program.

The last time this program was in this bad shape, I'd say 1984. Back then we had rogue boosters telling kids to not go to Texas. I don't know if we are on that level, but this is a pretty bad situation right now.

Mark May is one of the best football analysts I have seen. Go listen to the radio link I posted. Urban will take the Texas job if offered. I would think that this deal is done... we're just working out the finer points. The only way this doesn't get done... Someone meddles and screws it up a la Mack and Saban. The problem for Herman, no one likes him so no one is going to meddle on his part. The Belmont idiots are not in a good position to nix the deal. They need the money that Urban will bring to the University. Belmont is already in trouble for the CRT/EOT crap.

We often disagree but Mark May is horrible. I listened to the cut from the podcast you suggested, and he offered no insight beyond someone six feet under: newsflash anybody that wants to coach will take the Texas job, excluding the outliers (e.g. Saban). You can grab any sports fan next to you and ask if Meyer will take the Texas job and they will say the same thing: there is no question Meyer will take the job.

Sure, but I’m still not 100% sold that he wants to coach. He may, but he also might be one of those guys that likes to have his name out there. Gruden was like that. He’d float his name out there even have meetings with teams, and programs but never take the job.... till he finally did years later. We all know Urban loves attention so part of me wouldn’t be shocked if he’s playing with Texas a bit. I’d have a plan B in place if I was CDC

From an OSU perspective, Mark May is an idiot. He hates OSU and doesn't try to hide it. Last person I would listen to with respect to Urban Meyer's plans.
