If I told you I was an authority on the NFL I'd be a liar. But the NFL playoffs help me to wind down from the fact that the college fb season really is over. After the SB comes the last signing day and then it really is over for the next 6 month's.

Sigh
Now I really do have to pay attention to the wife and kids. Ol what's her name says I never pay attention to her during fb season. Imagine that. How many kids did I end up having was it 4? 2? 7? I know the youngest is the only one that hasn't married yet another is divorced. How many grand kids are there now?

Now let's get to what's important the conference title games winner goes to SB 53 (screw roman numerals). I know most of us don't follow our even care about the NFL but I watch the playoffs and I know I'm not the only one on here does whether you want to admit it or not.

First game up
LA NO what's fascinating for me is that both games have the same storyline the young guns against the established order. Two really exciting offenses a SB winning coach vs a superstar coach in the making. I really like Drew Brees how can you not? But it's time to make way for the young bucks.
LA 35
NO 31

NE/KC here's something remarkable to know about Tom Brady. He's played in 8 SB's everyone knows that. But this will be his 13th AFC title game. Wow. And with the exception of one SB where they beat the eagles easily every other SB his Pats have played have been exciting down to the last minute games. The SB used to be boring blowouts and the NFC always dominated. But the AFC has caught up and NE is the reason why. The last three years TB has won a SB at age 40, played in a SB at age 41 and is 1 win away from another SB at age 42. NFL fans should stand and applaud when he finally hangs it up. Hell we all should. Oh and he's married to one of the most beautiful women in the world. Figures. But dyk she's as rich as him? True story.

Never say never when it comes to TB but Patrick Mahomes has been the best qb in the NFL this year
KC 38
NE 35
in overtime

thoughts?
didn't mean to digress but I hope I gave you a few laughs.

NO has turned into a defensive team in the later part of the season. I think that they win a close, fairly low scoring game that could be decided on officiating or turnovers.

Saints 24
Rams 20

I'm not a Brady fan. Don't find his wife even remotely attractive. Can't wait till he and Belichick are gone. I'm with FB on Salma. Now THAT'S a fine woman! Chiefs outscore the Pats and meet the Saints in the Super Bowl for a great matchup between two QB's from Texas.

Chiefs 34
Patriots 30

I’m hoping a giant sinkhole opens up and swallows the NFL as we know it. College football year round, that would take care of the new transfer rule, everyone would get plenty of playing time:)

As for who I like--- I'm sticking with kate beckinsale.

The NFL is going to have an easy sell for any Super Bowl matchup they get. Legend vs. Legend. Legend vs. Future. Future vs. Future. I can't imagine that at this time last season they were looking forward to possibly having to build up Blake Bottles vs. Case Keenum.

I think the Saints win a close one in a game that is lower scoring than one would expect with those two offenses, like LonghornMM said.

I also think Chiefs win a close one. Pats have been bad on the road this year and have struggled the last two seasons against the Andy Reid offense and his former assistants. (Chiefs, Eagles, Bears) Of course, this is usually when the Pats make fools of us all and win by 17, but I'm just not seeing it today.

Listen Lady Gaga is a very talented lady. I saw A Star Is Born and she deserves an Oscar for her performance.

Don't know anything about stars being born or whatever, but I recently caught her Super Bowl anthem performance on YouTube, and she blew me away. That lady does not get enough credit for her pipes. She's up there with Whitney and Martina McBride for me.

Kimberly Perry still is still the sexiest voice though. Good god that woman melts me.

Not much of an NFL fan, but I hate all teams from L.A., regardless of sport. Also have a soft spot for the Saints. Hope they can pull out the win here, and hope Brees gets a second SB win in a couple of weeks.

Good call on the Saints-Rams game possibly coming down to officiating. That was one of the worst no calls I have ever seen.

The Saints got hosed on that play! They could have possibly ran the clock down and kicked the FG to win the game. I would be irate if I was a Saints fan right now.

Absolutely. And it wasn't even "bang bang" like the announcers tried saying, it was painfully obvious.

There was something about NO that I forgot to mention. One of the asst coaches on the Saints is Vince Lombardi's grandson and you gotta love those bloodlines. But 3 of their coaches are aggies. And when you have that not even Vince Lombardi bloodlines and Drew Brees can overcome that obstacle. You're just screwed.

But hey serious props for Greg Zuerlein. That kid kicked two very long fg's to send the rams to Atlanta.

That last FG looked good from 70.

Two great games ended by the dumbest overtime structure you could imagine.

And goddamnit, out of the four different SB matchups today could have yielded, this is by far the one I least wanted to see.

But the NFL certainly got what it wanted.

But how can you not give Tom Brady his props? All those third down conversions. You can hate on him all you want, and I'm no fan of his, but in two weeks he's going to be the first player to win 6 SB's.

I cannot stand Brady and Belichick. The day they retire will be a day for celebration. Eff them, the Patriots and their obnoxious fans.

Boston fan sucks. Not as bad as Philly fan but so obnoxious. So tired of watching Brady scream “LET’S GO!!!!” on the sidelines too. Would like to throat punch him and his European model clothes his wife dresses him in. Would like to see Edelman knocked the eff out as well. Bellichick is a proven cheater too. Besides that they’re ok I guess.

I call Brady, "Eddie Haskell". That moniker fits him to a T. Guy is a whiney, two face bitch. Can't stand that guy.

The main thing why the NFL wanted the Rams/Patriots match up is for TV ratings. This match up will pull in much higher ratings and much more ad revenue than Saints/Chiefs would have. The NFL can't lose no matter who wins the SB. You have the LA market with the buzz of the Rams relocating there and the new stadium coming in a year. The League desperately wanted a team back in the LA market, and they love the attention that the Rams will be getting. You have the east coast interest/bias and media. You have Brady/Belichick, who both move the needle. Lots of people love them and hate them. This is the match up that the NFL wanted all along and they made sure that it happened. Now that they have this match up, they can't lose.

I'm pulling for the Rams. I can't stand Brady, Belichick, the Patriots, or their obnoxious fans.

Guys if it had been NO/KC it still world have had huge ratings because everybody watches the SB and because of that the ad revenues wouldn't have been any less. I think by now the top 10 most watched tv.shows have all been SB's. And the NFL not baseball is now Americas pastime. And if the league office called to apologize to Sean Payton after the game that kind of neutralizes the fix was in argument. It was what it was but remember NO is a veteran team they should have gotten together after their fg and said we will not lose this game. But two things bother me. The NFL always protects their zebras. The zebra who didn't make the call will still be working games next year. And I don't like their rules for ot games in the playoffs. NO and KC should have been given a chance after they scored. You get that far you deserve a chance. College fb's ot rules are much better imo. Just another reason as to why I don't care that much for the NFL.
