Bring in Mack Brown as an Associate or Interim Head Coach ( just in title ) who will perform all functions of the head coach.

His personality would not allow it. No 5 mil coach demotes himself would even be part of the team. It is a coaching career killer and he still has a future career in coaching even failure can be turned around, look at muschamp.

strong cannot fix the defense if he gives it his partial attention.
a LOT of time is taken in talking to media and those LHN commitments.

he does not have anyone on staff to help with the defense other than himself ( assuming he is even capable of it).
mack brown had robinson as a consultant.
strong has nobody.

improving the defense cannot be a part time job for strong.

If not Mack Brown, how about Jeff Traylor ?

All I am asking for is for Charlie to dedicate every second of his time to the defense.

If Jeff Traylor, Mack Brown, Bob Stoops, Santa Claus, or Kevin Sumlin is brought in to be the ambassador coach, Charlie won't be fixing the defense. He will be a DC somewhere else, after sitting out the rest of this season.

Sadly I'm beyond panic. Kind of numb and hope for the best. I just don't see CS being released mid season or him stepping down to just run the defense ( and based on his involvement the past two weeks, no thanks anyway).
