Strong out players will transfer!

Let them go. What have they done on the field? If their loyalty is to the coach and not the University, adios!
These players just lost to Kansas. They have zero bargaining power.
They guys that haven't redshirted may transfer. Guys that are going to be potential starters under the new coach probably wont transfer. Guys that played a lot and all of a sudden don't play in the spring will probably transfer this summer. Thats why its important to get a guy in soon so he can figure out who is going and who is staying ASAP.

Whining, crying, and losing - that's what they will be known for if they transfer. This attitude wreaks of entitlement. Do they want a participation trophy too?
If they do transfer, I bet the players that replace them don't lose to Kansas.

Nope! Doesn't sound like Strong did much to get rid of the culture of entitlement.
I have to admit I do feel sympathy for the players. NFL teams aren't going to be in a rush to draft players that went 16-21 over the course of their college career regardless of their 40 times or bench press.
They are obviously committed to the coach and the program which is another thing that Strong die-hards never take into account. Strong had the talent, the resources, the support, and the commitment needed to win. He just isn't a good coach. If Saban and Strong completely switched teams, after 3 months, Saban would have these guys ready to compete for a Big XII title and Strong would turn Alabama into a non-factor in the SEC.

How long will it take for the people on this board to be b!tching and moaning about the new coach when the team wins 5-6 games over a 2 year span? I guess we will find out soon enough. We are quickly becoming Notre Dame.

We are gonna lose some, win some players, I think we have lowered our standards on players sorta like MB days, kids that wanted to be here but not play well, you did not play for DKR unless he thought you was good enough and he wanted you to, in other words his way or the highway and very few excuses for not playing to his standards, we need to get back to that way I believe

Nonsense. Getting a new coach does not mean you have to lose a lot of games. The reason a lot of people want Herman is because he took a team that went 8-5 and 8-5 the two years before and made them 13-1 and is looking at 10-2 this year before championship game and bowl. A good coach will have these SAME players playing better just from discipline alone. The substituting of players is a big deal and Strong's staff doesn't seem to do it well.
I never thought Strong was the coach for Texas. I was not upset he came but I was HOT about who he hired...I didn't like his staff AT ALL. Many posters on here will back that up. I thought from the start he would fail.

We should be bitching. We should be upset. We should expect a coach to come into Texas and hit the ground running. What we shouldn't accept is mediocre coaching and mediocre play. Strong has broke records and not in a good way. Think about that!
Players always overreact when their coach gets fired, cooler heads will prevail. lol
FWIW Houston will not be playing in the American Athletic Conference Championship game. It will be Navy vs Temple (most likely) or possibly South Florida.
Yeah I put there because I haven't watched that conf and thought one of the teams could lose and put Houston in but I haven't checked.
These kids are not transferring, especially Malik, who could go pro after 3rd year with a good season. Strong should never have brought Watson and he should not have allowed him to handle offense w/o keeping and eye on him. Strong never got a star QB, no VY or Bridgewater. Ehlinger is a true dual threat with a strong arm and could take Buechele's job in the true Urban Meyer offense, that like QB running, if Herman comes. He just didn't pay attention to details, and as my wife said, HE SHOULD have kept his butt at Louisville until one of those Florida jobs opened up. He is 25 million dollars wealthier, not shedding any tears for a millionaire. He did a bad job coaching football and recruiting QBs and DEs. He cleaned up the off the field issues.

We can't count on him staying healthy anyways. I had high hopes for him, but he is fat slow and can't stay healthy, if he chooses to leave, it's on him.
If any players boycott the TCU game, they should have their scholarship revoked. If any player wants to transfer, fine, let them go. When these guys signed their letter of intent, nowhere on it does it say, "I will only play at Texas under coach Strong". It says, "I am signing up to play for The University of Texas". We don't need players at Texas who don't want to be here and play football for the Longhorns.
My theory (as a current drill Instructor) is Charlie gave the players the discipline they needed. This likely made him into a father figure. I see it all the time. My recruits hate me at first but after installing that discipline they never had, by the end they would jump on a grenade for me. I believe the same principles apply here. Just my opinion.
The University of Texas supersedes any coach they may hire,The university is paying him and he is not paying the university and it is the case at any university in this country.The players should be informed of this common fact of business.
