Summer Camp/B12 Media Days

Excellent kool aid read lol.

And they didn’t even mention Sanders.

The possibility of this pass game is nuts.
I'm already drunk on the koolaid for this offense. With Ewers there's going to be rough patches but I think with his arm talent and the weapons on this offense they are going to average 40 points a game. We were at 35 last year with sub par offensive line and QB play. That is also assuming Ewers is the starter. The WR room is going to be crazy good next year as well with the additions of Cook, Niblett, and possibly Jalen Hale. Also Worthy will be back for sure as well.

I'm really curious as to what the offensive line is going to look like week 1. My guess is
LT-Banks
LG-Angilau
C-Majors
RG-Connor
RT-Jones
I think at some point it's possible that Campbell takes the job from Angilau. If it were up to me I would just put the 2 freshman in and let them get their growing pains in early that way you can get some kind of continuity. I believe continuity is really important for good offensive line play.

I have got that feeling like I did around 98 when we were coming off of a 4-7 season and Mack Brown was hired.

Interesting that Bijan and other upperclassmen immediately took note of the size of the freshmen OL. Bodes well.

Patterson works for Del Conte not Sark. He's there to let Del Conte know what is going on behind closed doors so that Del Conte knows where to drop the hammer if needed, he analyzes and gives advice as well. If the season goes bad Del Conte will need to know if it is the players or the coaches fault.

He works for both technically. And from listening to Sark talk the last couple of weeks it sounds like he has more input than what was originally anticipated.

What else is Sark supposed to say? Del Conte is trying to figure out what is wrong with the culture at UT and what is inhibiting wins. He needs a guy who is experienced and who he trusts to give him an honest opinion. You can't get that from one of Sarks guys. If Patterson can give some input and help the coaching staff that is a bonus but I bet it's not the only reason Del Conte seeked him out.

As if anyone needs advice on what was wrong with the culture of the UT football team. Herman made it worse with his BLM political crap. The Texas team since 2008-9 has been an entitled country club experience. IMO, NIL has cut through the crap by removing the entitled non-progressing athlete because they can be processed off the team via the transfer portal. It's now about paying for performance and it can't come soon enough. If you loaf in practice and suck in games, you might need to get into that transfer portal. The country club days are gone. Players will be cut if they don't perform.

He seeked him out because of how poorly the defense performed last year is my thoughts. Also I believe this is Sark taking a page out of Saban's way of doing things. Saban is notorious for hiring coaches who just got fired and giving them analyst jobs to revamp their careers.

Fine, why hasn't it been fixed in the past 10 years then? How specifically is UT a country club atmosphere compared to Bama and Ohio St.? Other teams have just as good or better facilities and history. You think an Alabama player is not entitled? Somehow they still win.

I doubt it's that innocent or simple. I have a hard time believing that Patterson and Del Conte don't talk behind closed doors about how things are going inside the football program and what he sees.

It's the soft permissive culture.

I have heard that the one knock on Del Conte is that he's a micromanager. For him to hire Patterson for various reasons, from Del Conte's standpoint, is understandable.
