till opening kickoff. No more speculation, no more prediction, and hopefully no more Urban Meyer. A week from now we'll be having in game threads about the Maryland game. I believe it starts about 9:30 Pacific time.

Can't wait and HookemHorns.

Can’t wait. I still remember last year 1st play of the game, Hill or Elliott pick 6. Unfortunately, that was probably the highest point of the season next to the bowl win.

We will boat race them. 2 tds minimum.

I know you suggested they might be resentful of the bad situation they went through, but I still don't know about that. They seem really excited from what I saw. More inspired than resentful.

When we factor in our improvement on offense and defense compared to this time last year, we should do well. Our offense actually moved the ball on them and we sucked. Our defense was night and day different by mid season as it was .opening game withthe Terps.

Mid season? Hell it was a night and day difference to the USC game. Yeah I have no idea what happened, but that was a complete fluke our D not showing up for that game. Still, I'm not willing to overlook the inspirational factor.

I was just checking out stats from last year’s Maryland game. I don’t remember this but the team stats show a 4th down efficiency of 0 for 4. Wow, Herman won’t get a pass for that this year. We had 26 1st downs to their 18. Total Yards and time of possession were almost identical. 482/473 yards them and 30:16/29:44 us.

Y'all ready for the bad news? Lee Corso picked Texas to win the Big 12. Lol. On the other hand, he was the only one that stood firm about Texas being the best team in the country in 2005, picking Texas to beat USC.

Don't count ya chickens until they hatch..LOL might happen

Hook'em

Our offense didnt move the ball that damned well against them. Our D and special teams scored 21 points and we scored late on them during garbage time when they had the game in total control.

I thought our schedule sucked with USC, TCU, KSU, and OU stretch but looked at their schedules. USC plays at Stanford the week before, TCU plays tOSU the week before, KSU has to travel to WVA the week before, and ISU and the only team with any chance that OU plays before our Horns. Feeling better about going 2-2 maybe 3-1 in that stretch.

If we beat Maryland, we're undefeated going into Dallas.

Emotion will only carry them through the 1st qtr. We are physically stronger, faster, and have more depth in key positions. If we don't turn the ball over 3 plus times, give up more than 3 big plays (on either side of the ball)...we should come out with a double digit win. I want to see some long runs with our new RB's and some over the top throws to our WR talent.

I want to see some backups play in the 4th Q, and only because we can afford to give them experience.

And then I want to see a team that doesn't crow about beating Maryland, or talk about USC at all.
