Rivalry game at home against a top 4 team.

Win and a chance to make the big 12 championship game and a shot at 10 wins.

As of right now, (4) 5 star recruits & total of (9) top 100 prospects not committed to Texas are expected to be in Austin this Saturday. 2 current aggie commits will also be there.

Win and there’s a solid chance at picking up a few (or All) of those high profile recruits and finish with a top 3-4 class.

Can’t wait for this weekend. Just win baby!

I thought last week was!

Geez, win or lose I can't wait to see how big NEXT week will be!
Every game from here on out is going to be the biggest because of their shot at making a conference championship. But last week was also huge to get that road monkey off of their back. We haven't beaten a top 5 team at DKR since Nebraska in 1999. Pretty easy to see how this is a huge game for the program.

I get it. I do. I'm hoping to be there shivering Saturday evening.

But not every game can be the biggest ever. It reminds me of a coach that loses in the super bowl multiple times-- think Dan reeves or Marv levy or Bobby bowden pre 93. They say they can't win the big game. And I think "well that dang conference championship game seemed pretty big at the time!"

If we lose at ANY POINT between now and ccg, some of you will cry that dark can't get us there. If we win out and lose in the ccg, some of you will cry that he can't win the big one. And if we win out and win the ccg, then lose the (idk) orange bowl, you'll cry that sark can't win bowl games while Herman was 4-0. Y'all know this is true. He's paid handsomely, so there's that, but there's no pleasing some of you.

I think the fact that TCU is undefeated, top 4, prime time game at home, college gameday atmosphere, high profile recruit visits, etc make it a bigger game than Kansas or Baylor.

There’s a lot riding on this TCU game especially with the entire country watching. The whole “Texas is back” narrative will be tested this weekend.

There's been a ton of optimism on this board this season from what I have seen. More so than any point in the last 5 to 6 seasons. Sark has got this team headed in the right direction and is recruiting lights out. Reminds me of the early Mack Brown years.

As a fan base we have suffered through the trenches of mediocrity the last decade. I believe the fan base has all the right in the world to be skeptical. Until we can put together a couple of good seasons then Sark will always be in prove it mode to me. It's up to you how you believe though.

I said 8-4 this season .and sure some games have been let downs but what we wanted was GROWTH. This team is definitely growing and trending up...

Hell look at aggy. Could be worse lol

This game seems a lot bigger than it actually is. Obviously it’s big because you have all the recruits coming in and you have some momentum you’d like to keep going, but with the way things have broken even with a loss Saturday Texas if it beats KU and Baylor is still likely playing TCU in the big 12 title game in 3 weeks, so it’s being built up to be a bigger game then the outcome will likely will be.

Should be a great game. You guys and TCU clearly the two best teams in the BIg 12 this year. Still hoping TCU can make the Final Four. Dykes doing a great job.

If BU can win its home games, that Baylor at UT game on the final weekend will be for a spot in the Big 12 championship game. Now THAT will be epic.

There is no question, this is the biggest game of Sark's career.

No one expected him to beat Bama though not denying that was a YUGE, massive game.

Now he's the favorite

And even if he/TEXAS win, he still needs to win the next 2 to assure a CCG berth. Thanks in no small part to 2 inexcusable road losses.

Can't wait though no matter how it turns out, the season is almost over and that is always a bit sad to me. Oh lord how I love (along with most of our posters) college football.

I think that things are set up well for Texas. IMO, they not only win, but cover the -7. This is a huge game for Sark and the Texas program!

Evidently this is the first time a 9-0 team has ever been a touchdown underdog to a 3 loss team. Either the Texas brand is strong, or Vegas knows something. TCU is good, but not 9-0 good. Night game in front of 100K hostile fans - this will be the game that UT jumps ahead in the first half, and then keeps its foot on the gas. I think UT by 3 scores.

The temperature is projected to be in the low 50's to high 40's Saturday night with little wind. Perfect football weather!

Despite the 3 losses I think Texas is better than their record indicates. TCU has only played 3 road games all year and they were Colorado, SMU, and West Virginia. Not exactly a tough slate of games on the road. West Virginia played them down to the wire and actually had a pretty good shot to beat them. I think we should win this one by a couple of scores. However I would not be surprised if somehow we completely crap the bed and blow it.

Right. And for Texas their fate will likely come down to the Baylor game win or lose tomorrow. The only question is will it mean anything for Baylor.

Gotta let them nuts hang. I’m not talking about making a tackle after a gain of 6 and flexing. Or a receiver dropping a ball and our db makes the incomplete signal like he did something. I’m talking scrapping start to finish and being the meanest group of mother****ers these cats have ever seen for 60 solid minutes. No other path to victory.

I don’t know about all of that. There’s a lot that has to happen for that to be the case. I’d rather just take care of business and stay in control of our own destiny rather than depend on other teams to lose.

If that’s what it takes for us to win, we’re F$&ked. We don’t have 1 dude like that wearing burnt orange. Much less a team full of them. We’ve got 85 cats that will help the other team up after they tackle them instead of using their head to get up.
