Is probably a good idea if you're going to be sending him to public school.

Had a family friend that was an ODA in Nam and when I was a kid he taught me a hold called shime-waza. You could choke anybody out in no time flat. You might catch one on the way in, but once you locked in, it was over.My boy is 2 and I’m already starting basic wrestling and BJJ with him. He has his own bag as well. Combat sports will be a big part of his life. My 3 daughters know basic combos and basic takedowns as well. Need to work with them more. Fighting can be good for kids when one on one and both parties are willing. Also, kids that grow up training and fighting realize that 99% of “issues” are not worth it. That was difficult to watch because only one kid was engaged in the fight. Aggressor needs a good ass whipping.
Today yes I agree. First thingnon the news would be white kid beats up black kid even if race had nothing to do with it.That really pisses me off! Damn right there is a double standard. And this WOULD be national news if the roles were reversed. So fed up with it!
Must teach sham-wow technique at Miyagi Do. 😂 sorry couldn’t resist.Had a family friend that was an ODA in Nam and when I was a kid he thought me a hold called shime-waza. You could choke anybody out in no time flat. You might catch one on the way in, but once you locked in, it was over.
First time I ever choked a guy to sleep in a BJJ tournament was with a variation of that. I chase it all the time in the gi. I have a pic of it somewhere.Had a family friend that was an ODA in Nam and when I was a kid he thought me a hold called shime-waza. You could choke anybody out in no time flat. And....blame President Trump!Today yes I agree. First thingnon the news would be white kid beats up black kid even if race had nothing to do with it.
Oh no doubt-- it just seems that fights (in teens) are more often with boys-- or roving bands of chumps/thugs/d-bags vs a single boy.Don’t limit it to boys. My youngest daughter was a Taekwando instructor while in HS. She testing for her next black belt level soon.
I wouldn't count on that. Principals are mostly Democrats these days.I just can’t imagine being that boy’s parents and seeing that video. I am assuming the big kid has been disciplined in some way since the video is out there

But ya, by all means, teach your daughter how to gut someone like a fish.
Where the hell are you?At my school, the girls throw hands as much as the boys.
Girl fights are often harder to break up than the dude fights. That longer hair and extensions fly and the long fingernails slice and dice during the fight. At my school, the girls throw hands as much as the boys.
Made many a best friend after a good fight. Days are different today though.I pretty much took on all comers as my dad would kick my ass if I let someone bully me. Remember the “you know how to deal with a bully” talk? One time though I picked the wrong fight but was prepared to take my beating. Big dude. He was mean. So thankful that my friends were able to talk him down. Instead we hung out and smoked a fat one while listening to Rush 2112. Still good friends to this day.
Love RUSH! I can play the air drums better than Neil. 😁2112 one of the all time greats.
I am a little out of touch. I have never heard “throw hands”.At my school, the girls throw hands as much as the boys.

You can also "catch these hands"
My everyday carry. I use it for work a lot. Contemplating a full auto for self defense. Benchmade auto-assist. I use in left hand although I am right-handed. Kids can't take this to school but when they are out, it's good to learn to use one of these.
