There is a lot of season left to be played but so far, we and hopefully all of ya'll are very proud and pleased with the re-made roster that was put together. Last summer was a very crazy time, seems like it was a lifetime ago. We have great ball players and they are even better kids. One player particularly, Max Belyeu is a great person and bleeds burnt orange. Max has grown up with Tourette's and the only NIL deal he has asked me to pursue for him has been to promote Tourette's awareness as a volunteer ambassador so he can help young kids struggling with the condition. Max is as genuine as it gets and cares deeply for people, he will be back better than ever.
I have communicated multiple times on OB that with the House Settlement coming soon, Texas Baseball will not be receiving settlement dollars from the school, which will leave our NIL efforts completely up to Texas One Fund and the efforts from Longhorn Nation. If you are not involved now, please consider joining us with a monthly membership. If you are a member, please consider increasing your monthly donation any amount, it means a lot to baseball, every single bit. While all our sports need support, baseball currently only has 11.7 scholarships and the cost of living is almost double our peers cost of living in the rest of the SEC towns and we don't have the state lotto programs to cover tuition.
The current cycle of contracts for this season (our financial commitments), are very substantial, we need Longhorn Nation and we meet our obligations.
