Listening to Dusty & Danny on SiriusXM College Sports Radio on my office commute this morning, and "Horns down" will once again be included in the daily talking points for sports media outlets. Apparently, someone discovered EA Sports new NCAA football game does not allow NPCs fans of Longhorns opponents do "Horns down" during games. According to EA Sports, NPC fans can do their own schools' hand signs, but the enhanced game mechanics were not designed to allow disparaging signs like "Horns down," aggy's "thumbs down," etc.
Naturally, and without any evidence, Texas is being blamed because of course Texas admin must have whined to EA Sports about it as a condition for signing off on licensing for Texas participation in the game. The 'Texas is soft' narrative is still alive and thriving in national media, as is the narrative that Texas screwed aggy, and to a lesser extent, that pooor Texags reporter, in Schloss's hiring.
