Texas has started 3-4 or worse only 8 times

Would you like my home address too troll?
I'm a troll because I think Strong is a good coach who should get at least 4 years before he would be fired? Charlie Strong has proven he is a heck of a coach in his tenure at Louisville. Completely turned that program around. Most coaches get 4 or 5 years to try to turn a program around before they get the ax.

Pretty sure the role call now shows Charlie has one coach left from his original staff. Let that sink in. No coordinators, all flushed in flaming emergency mode, early season no less! He came in with all the money and support he could ask for. Had a blank check book. He made terrible decisions from the get go, many that are not able to recover from.
You obviously have not watched any form of UT game footage in the last 3 years. We are watching the most pedestrian and on field/in game lack of football acumen that exists within any of the power universities in the country.

For those that try to compare Texas firing Strong to Notre Dame firing Ty Willingham, notice Ty had a winning record at Notre Dame.

Notre Dame fired Ty Willingham with a 21-15 record. Charlie Strong has a 14-18 record at Texas.

For those that believe Strong can repeat his Louisville success at Texas, notice Strong won the Big East in his 3rd year as head coach and repeated the 4th year. Strong will not be bowl eligible in his 3rd year at Texas.

You forgot 1986 and 1994.

The closest thing to Strong at Texas would be RichRod going 15-22 his 3 years at Michigan. And even RichRod finished 7-6 his last year. Not sure Strong will finish above .500 this year.

1. SchmidtyNole---- rhymes with speedy Nole that aggy running back.
2. You obviously don't know sh!t about football nor have you thoroughly watched the train wreck that is 60% of the games Strong has coached.
3. You're being a contrarian for the sake of argument.
This means you're trolling.

Yep. At least acknowledge the other side of the argument.

In the past 60 years: 2016, 2015, 2014, 1997, 1996, 1988, 1966, & 1956.
Who were the coaches in those years.

1956 - ???
1966 - DKR
1988 - McWilliams
1996 - Macavich
1997 - Macavich
2014 - Strong
2015 - Strong
2016 - Strong

What does it say about Texas if it Fires him? Looking at this stat it says justified.

He hasn't even posted a winning record yet, and year 3 doesn't look like he'll accomplish that yet again. He didn't start the Texas program from scratch. The only people thinking he needs more time are either trolls or morons. You don't need a fourth year to post your first winning season at Texas.

He needs for Texas to leave him alone and let him be himself. However it appears the wheels have now come off and it's too late.

Leave him alone? He was given a new OC for crying out loud!! I supported Strong but we can't even get a winning season out of HIS own players. I was at least hoping for a winning season this year and then even better for next but it's highly unlikely.

After the end of his first year he stood before us all and said---
"A 5 loss team at Texas is unacceptable. There will never be another 5 loss team during my tenure."

Well, he was right.... sorta.... we lost 7 the next year and we are 1 loss away from having 5 losses for a third year in a row under his tutalidge.

If I had a boss and walked into his office and said "Boss, we fvcked up but this sort of fvck up will never happen with my guys again. Ever!"---- and then it happened again, I suspect I'd be fired. I opened my mouth, I tried to put my money where my mouth was, I stepped on my d!ck-- I must pay the price. Pretty simple.

People say they like accountability but they really don't...it makes them uncomfortable. Thus, people continue to support failures like Strong...voting with their heart and not their mind.

The 1956 Head Coach was Ed Price, finishing with a 1-9 record.

I'm playing golf Saturday morning, I should be good and lubed up for his next loss as the HC and bump of that stat to 3-5.
