So I'm going to be up front here and admit that I'm an ND fan looking for 4 tix to the game. My wife and I are flying down to see her cousin and husband who live in Austin so 2 of us will be ND fans and the other 2 will be cheering on your Longhorns. I know most of you will be hesitant to sell tix to an ND fan but I can honestly say I am a very well behaved fan in opposing stadiums. Anyway, I'm looking to spend $600 on four tickets and if anyone has any they are looking to sell please let me know so we can make arrangements.

The one other question I have is how easy is it to scalp tickets for Texas games? I've been to many football games both college and pro and have never been to a game where someone wouldn't have been able to scalp a ticket on game day if needed. Would this be the case down there for this game?

I appreciate any and all suggestions. When this home and home was announced I said I was going to go to both of these games. I went last year in South Bend and the Texas fans were awesome. I'm very much looking forward to making our way down to Austin for this game to watch these two National Powers go at it again. Go Irish!!!

Meh.....

Honestly since it's our opening game, it will probably be packed. You can scalp, I would imagine, somewhere in the tailgating area. You might also try Craig's list or back page. As far as only paying $600, good luck with that. I've never scalped tickets before but I would imagine because if who's playing, $600 for 4 might land you upper deck, home side, row nose bleed.

I don't have tickets to sell but my guess is you are going to be looking at 200-250 a ticket. You can hang around DKR. I haven't been to a game since 98 but I know there were always guys out there with tickets to sell and prices dropped right after kickoff.

Just google "Notre Dame/Texas 2016 Tickets" & you will see about 6-7 certified sites with over 10,000 tickets for sale between them.
The site we got ours from started at $154 a ticket. We called & talked to the broker & they said the tickets for sale are only about half of what will be coming in since it is so early.
So if you want to hold off they are expecting a lot more to come in once tickets go out.

This way you are sure your tickets are legit & you can pick your seats ahead of time.
I talked to the Alumni club out of Dallas & they now are planning on over 25,000 ND fans.

If you don't mind me asking. What broker/site did you go through? I've looked at several using the method you described and have seen nothing shy of around $250 a ticket after service fees. I'm willing to spend up to $800 for four tickets so I'm sure we will get in the stadium. I don't care if I'm high up I actually prefer it because I can see the plays developing.

25,000?...wow...thats a lot of folks to get their hearts broken.
Ever the optimist. If we sh!t the bed and lose by double digits, you're going to have to send me a bottle of single malt to ease my wounds.

We will see when they settle it on the field in September. I think ND will win this game but it won't be as big a margin of victory as last year. Texas didn't even belong on the same field last year. After they meet I'll be pulling for Texas the rest of the way. Go Irish!!!

My brother and me took my parents to a home game last year - early season game, no name team... sat in the upper endzone sections upper deck.......paid around 100-120 per ticket... those same seats for a REAL team playing Texas at home will probably triple...
